Privacy policy
How Motorhome Power Solutions handles enquiries.
This privacy policy explains how Motorhome Power Solutions uses personal information sent through this website, by email or by phone. The website is an enquiry site for motorhome, campervan and conversion power work.
Who is responsible for your information?
Richard Moore, trading as Motorhome Power Solutions, is a self-employed sole trader and is responsible for the information collected through this website. For privacy questions, or to ask for a copy, correction or deletion of your information, email RICHARD@MOTORHOMEPOWERSOLUTIONS.COM or call 07950 690949.
What information is collected?
When you make an enquiry, Richard may receive:
- your name and contact details;
- details about your motorhome, panel van, self-build or conversion;
- the services you are interested in, such as batteries, solar, wiring or air con;
- the message you choose to send about your power setup, travel plans or installation needs;
- technical submission information needed to deliver and protect the form, such as the submission date and IP address.
How is the information used?
Enquiry information is used to reply to you, discuss your vehicle, provide advice, prepare quotes and arrange work where requested. Motorhome Power Solutions may also keep basic records of enquiries, quotes and completed work for business administration, warranty support and legal or accounting obligations.
Legal basis for using information
Information is used to respond to your request and take steps at your request before providing a service. Limited enquiry and work records may also be used for the legitimate interests of running and protecting the business, provided those interests do not override your rights. Tax, accounting and other required records are kept where necessary to meet legal obligations. MPS does not rely on the form checkbox as consent for handling your enquiry.
Contact form and Basin
The contact form uses Basin to receive and deliver enquiries. Basin processes the information you submit, along with technical submission information used for delivery and spam protection, and makes the enquiry available to Motorhome Power Solutions so Richard can reply. Basin is configured to delete stored form submissions automatically after 30 days. A copy delivered to the MPS business email, and any necessary business record made from the enquiry, is separate from the copy held in Basin. Do not include sensitive or unnecessary personal information.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not currently use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, analytics cookies or browser storage. The website fonts are served directly from this website rather than requested from Google. If analytics, advertising or other non-essential storage is added later, the privacy information and consent controls must be updated before those tools run.
How long is information kept?
Basin automatically deletes its stored form submissions after 30 days. Enquiry emails and unsuccessful quotes are kept by MPS only while they remain active or there is a reasonable business or legal need to retain them. If work proceeds, relevant customer and installation records may be kept for aftercare, warranty, tax, accounting and legal purposes. IONOS states that anonymised visitor data for its Web Hosting products is retained for eight weeks. When the applicable need or legal period ends, information should be securely deleted or anonymised.
Sharing information
Personal information is not sold. Basin processes form submissions and is operated by Moonshot Ventures Inc. in Canada. IONOS provides both the website hosting and the MPS business email service, and processes the technical hosting, security and email-delivery information needed to provide those services. Information may also be shared with a professional adviser or supplier only where needed for work you request or to meet a legal obligation. Each recipient should receive only the information needed for its role. Basin's published privacy information says international processing may occur; you can ask MPS for further information about provider safeguards using the privacy contact email above.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict how it is used, or receive portable information you supplied. To make a request, email RICHARD@MOTORHOMEPOWERSOLUTIONS.COM.
Your right to object
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. MPS will stop that processing unless there are compelling legitimate grounds to continue or the information is needed for legal claims.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how your information is handled, you can contact Motorhome Power Solutions first so the issue can be looked into. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
